Pottie: How empathy can go a long way to helping fix long-term care

I will never forget my last visit with my grandmother, Babe.  She was a white-haired, rosy-cheeked woman who raised a family in the wake of the Second World War.  During our last visit, she was in the hospital, bleeding slowly from an aortic aneurysm.
